Advantages & Disadvantages of Instant Geysers

  • Compact in size and requires less space to be installed
  • The instant water heaters are most ideal as they do not have any storage

  • They save electricity
  • Best for kitchen use or in washbasins
  • If these are used for bathing, then these are best for bucket bathing
  • No wastage of hot water as it heats the required amount of water only.
  • Has a more lifespan than storage geysers
  • Can be used only in kitchens
  • No good for bathrooms for bathing purposes.

These geysers are also of two types:

b). Storage gas geysers-

These are best for those who need water in large amounts and have a family of more than 4 members. They are costlier than the instant geysers and are rare to be found in homes in India.

Advantages & Disadvantages of Gas Geysers

4). Solar Geysers/Water Heaters

As the name suggests, these geysers are connected with the solar energy of the sun. Their functioning depends entirely on the sun.
These geysers/water heaters work by absorbing heat from the sun’s rays via roof-mounted solar panels.

They are kept on the roof of the house. Thus, the energy from the sun gets converted into heat energy making water in these geysers hot. Hot water is then transferred to the various parts of the house where the geyser water connection is set in the taps.
