3). Gas Geysers/Water Heaters
The gas geysers use gases like propane and LPG to make the process of water heating possible. They are cheaper than electric geysers.
These geysers are also of two types:
a). Instant gas geysers-
These are best for a family size of 1-2 members. Here a small amount of water is heated instantly. Also, in India, all the gas geyser manufacturers make instant gas geysers.
b). Storage gas geysers-
These are best for those who need water in large amounts and have a family of more than 4 members. They are costlier than the instant geysers and are rare to be found in homes in India.

4). Solar Geysers/Water Heaters
As the name suggests, these geysers are connected with the solar energy of the sun. Their functioning depends entirely on the sun.
These geysers/water heaters work by absorbing heat from the sun’s rays via roof-mounted solar panels.
They are kept on the roof of the house. Thus, the energy from the sun gets converted into heat energy making water in these geysers hot. Hot water is then transferred to the various parts of the house where the geyser water connection is set in the taps.
So, these geysers save a lot of electricity consumption and money. These initially cost higher, but their long-run consumption costs are much less.
These are good for a single-family with 2-3 members. They are best for those having homes with big open space or terrace where you can easily get direct sun rays.
These are not good for winters or monsoon season when there is little sunshine.
