How The Festival Of Holi is Celebrated in India 2020
Holi is a festival of colors and is celebrated with joy in almost all parts of the country. It is also called “the festival of love”. on this day people meet each other with great warmth and happiness which they show by putting colors on each other. This festival starts on Choti Holi when all go at midnight outside of their houses to burn ‘Holika’ on the said ‘Chauraha’, where everybody together burns some twigs and some puja samagri. This process indicates the triumph of good over bad deeds.
The next day comes the festival of Holi where people play with colors with their friends, neighbors, and families. This playing of colors starts around 9 in the morning and lasts up till 3 in the afternoon. After playing all return to their homes and take a bath. Then after taking a bath, they have their lunch and then go off to sleep for at least 2 hours.
Then in the evening, all go and visit their relatives wearing new traditional clothes like kurta pajama with the Holi Gifts as a token of love.
